EssayPro.com is another bidding service that got my attention. I don’t particularly like these. I mean, the process of placing an order and choosing your own writer is pretty simple and convenient. However, a good bidding service is extremely difficult to find. Is this one a jewel? I had to find out. Read my Essay Pro review to find out how it went.
Services Provided
There’s nothing much when you click the Services option in the main menu. You see a few types of content, including admission essay, term paper, custom essay, research paper, and dissertation. We also see options that don’t belong in a list of services, such as “Write My Essay” Service, College Essay Help, and Buy an Essay. There’s already a Custom Essay Writing option in the list, so it’s clear that these additional options are there for the sake of SEO.
As for the real list of services, you can see it in the price calculator. There are three main types of services at this website:
- Writing
- Rewriting
- Editing
You can find several types of papers in the Writing category. These are some of the most important ones:
- Essay
- Admission essay
- Article review
- Book/movie review
- Coursework
- Business plan
- Research paper
- Research proposal
- Thesis/dissertation
This seems like a versatile list of services. BUT… REWRITING? Whoa, red flag! I never trust services that include rewriting and paraphrasing in their list of services. If these writers are used to paraphrasing content to avoid plagiarism detection engines, what would prevent them from doing so when you order unique writing help? I can hardly detect rewritten parts, but a professor who’s read most resources and research studies in their niche can easily notice it.
Customer Experience
The process of ordering papers from Essay Pro seems pretty simple.
- You can place an order only after you sign up for a profile at the website. That’s somewhat inconvenient since most students want to get a clear price before ordering their papers. The process of signing up takes only a minute, but it’s something that not everyone is willing to do.
- Once you place the order, you’ll start getting bids from the writers. You can check their rating and consider the offered prices to choose the best one for your needs. The service recommends you to pick a writer who specializes in the essay’s subject area. The only problem is: the “specializations” of these writers are pretty versatile. You can see the same writer completing projects in liberal arts and humanities, business, medicine and health, and computer sciences. These writers don’t have a specific expertise.
- When you choose your writer, you’ll be connected with them. It’s great that you can follow the progress of your order.
- The money is deposited via credit card or PayPal. The service is supposed to take them only after you confirm your satisfaction.
Deadlines
The longest deadline you can set for an order is 2 months, and the shortest one is 6 hours. The writers are pretty reliable when it comes to meeting deadlines. It’s expected for them to bid only on projects they can complete. Since you have your requirements clearly outlined when placing the order, the writers will be aware of the expectations. They will apply only if they are certain they can complete the paper by the given deadline.
Customer Support
The live chat works 24/7. It’s a very convenient feature that lets you get support whenever you need it. However, I had difficulties to make myself clear to the customer support representatives. One of them kept repeating my questions, wondering if she understood me well. My conclusion was that these are not native English speakers.
Prices
You can’t see a clear price chart. That’s expected, given the fact that this is a bidding service. I don’t like the fact that you have to leave your email to get a clear price. Most students like to compare the prices of few services before hiring one. With EssayPro.com, you don’t have such an option. You have to place an order to see what you’re going to pay for.
As for the bids, they were average… I would even say below the average of the industry. The minimum price is $12, and that’s the bid I got from most writers. This is not a fair price for a professional writer with an MA or Ph.D. degree. You can’t really see information about the education of these writers, so it’s only natural to assume they don’t hold postgraduate degrees. The profiles of the writers feature fake images. One of them even used Tom Hiddleston’s photo. Funny, but okay.
Quality
I got a paper that was okay. It was an essay on the topic I required. It passed the plagiarism search engine. However, it looked like an unimpressive essay that puts a professor to sleep. I guess, for this price, you can’t expect much more.
Warning: not all these writers are native English speakers. At least mine wasn’t. If you hire Essay Pro, the chances that you’ll end up with a freelance writer from a third-world country are big. That’s why they can afford to work for a lower price.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not discriminating. I have nothing against non-native English speakers being freelance writers. I have a lot against a service that claims to hire only native English speakers when that’s not what it really does.
Conclusion
EssayPro delivers below-average services for a below-average price. If that’s what you need, go for it. If you need a high-quality paper, it’s not the service I would recommend. Having to leave your email just to get a price is not a fact that goes to its advantage. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would give it no more than a 2.3.
